Why this exists

Cook Done Right is a small collection of focused tools — one for each protein — that help home cooks hit the right temperature, every time. Steak, chicken, and more on the way.

The idea

Most cooking timers are too generic. Most temperature charts are buried in long blog posts you have to scroll past three pop-ups to read. We wanted something simple: pick your cut, your method, your doneness — get a smart timer and the right pull temp. That's it.

The principle

Temperature is the only truth. Times are guidelines that depend on too many variables — your stove, your pan, your cut, the cold from the fridge. A meat thermometer cuts through all of it. Every page on this site reminds you of that, because it matters.

What's coming

We're building out timers for salmon, burger, turkey, pork, and lamb. Each one with the same care: real cook times, sensible defaults, food-safe pull temps, and tips that actually help.
